Central Park at Lakewood Ranch
Neal Communities is progressing with infrastructure for the 600 dwelling new neighborhood of Central Park within the master planned community of Lakewood Ranch in Manatee County, FL. Central Park was positioned by Parker Associates to contain a mixture of detached dwellings for families and both younger and older couples encompassing a large park designed with activities for all age groups. It is scheduled to open in mid-2010. Lakewood Ranch now contains over 8,000 households and over three million square feet of commercial retail and office space. |
Symphony in Indiana Parker Associates just completed a Marketing Feasibility Study for The Estridge Companies’ new master planned community in suburban Indianapolis. The 1,400 acre plan includes a major sports complex sponsored by the newly formed City of Westfield and an existing 18-hole golf course. Canin Associates is creating the master plan to include inter-generational housing at varied densities and price ranges. |

All-Concrete House
Montenero US, headquartered in Jacksonville, FL, is constructing prototype all-concrete houses in a variety of sizes and plans that are price competitive with stick-built construction and have the advantage of being storm-proof and LEEDS green. Walls and roof are four inch thick reinforced concrete. Current prototypes are shipped to pre-poured slabs by truck, but future plans include a subdivision with structures poured on site. |
