Parker
Associates is a professional organization providing marketing and
sales consulting services to both public and private real estate and
resort developers, homebuilders and investors.
Initially established by David Parker and Charlie Clark in
1982 as Clark Parker Associates, and modified to Parker Associates
in 1990, the combined organizations have served over 300 clients in
30 states and 15 countries.
In addition to Dr. David F. Parker, Parker Associates includes Vice
Presidents Chris Parker and Stephen Parker, and Senior Associates
Jon McClow, David Owen, and Don Waltz. Office support members
include Judy Larrabee and Mike Remo.

Dr. David F.
Parker: Over the
past four decades, David Parker has been responsible for a wide
range of management, development and marketing innovations in the
real estate industry as corporate executive, planner, teacher,
author and consultant. His skills have been applied to projects in Europe, the
Middle East, Central America and the Caribbean as well as in many
parts of the United States and his native Canada.
All have received David Parker’s distinctive blend of
academic knowledge and development management experience, combined
with his focus on consumer characteristics as the key to generating
optimum marketing results. |
Prior to 1982, David Parker’s career included
marketing private housing in the British new city of Milton Keynes;
directing planning and initial development of Sadat City in Egypt;
president and CEO of development for Audubon New Community outside
Buffalo, NY; development of New York State’s planning
programming-budgeting system; and in 1959 named “National Builder
of the Year” by Canada’s National
Builder Magazine.
Dr. Parker holds a master’s degree in urban
planning from Michigan State University and a doctoral degree from
the State University of New York at Albany. Memberships include
American Institute of Certified Planners, National Association of
Home Builders Institute of Residential Marketing and National
Council On Seniors Housing, Urban Land Institute Council on
Community Development, Southeast Resort Real Estate Council and
Jacksonville Mayor’s Commission on Housing.
He has authored dozens of articles on marketing, planning,
budgeting and management. Parker
has authored three books: Marketing New Homes and Selling
New Homes (National Association of Home Builders, Washington, D.
C. 1989), and, in 1999, the second edition of Marketing
New Homes, available from the NAHB bookstore in Washington, D.
C.

J. Chris Parker: Chris Parker joined Parker Associates in 1990 and became a
Vice President and partner in the firm in 1995.
Under the tutelage of Dr. David F. Parker, Chris has emerged
as an innovator and leader in advanced real estate market research
and marketing and has mastered and augmented methodological
techniques proven to aid clients in making informed real estate
development, planning and marketing decisions. Since joining Parker Associates, Chris has
participated in, directed, and completed nearly 500 studies for
private and public entities including land developers, landowners,
residential and commercial builders, financial institutions, city
and state government agencies and the U.S. Department of the Navy.

Chris’s experience ranges from single and multi-family
residential market studies, large land marketing and development
feasibility analysis, to DRI and HUD application research and
reporting, and strategic development and marketing planning.
Additionally Chris has specialized in defining consumer
trends, characteristics and preferences through a range of
scientific survey mediums.
Chris has written several articles on consumer
research methodology, development and marketing and sales issues.
Before joining Parker Associates, Chris held
management positions with Marriott Corporation and with Arvida
Corporation at Sawgrass, as well as was a corporate executive with
the Tournament Players Association professional golf tour during the
late 1980s. Chris is a
member of the Northeast Florida Builders Association and the
National Association of Home Builders and currently is working
towards completion of his MIRM designation (Member of the Institute
of Residential Marketing) as well as a licensed Florida Real Estate
salesman.

Stephen G. Parker: Since joining the firm in 1992, Steve Parker quickly
established himself as a research-reporting expert developing many
pioneering techniques in data organization and computer applications
for real estate market research.
Steve became a Vice President and partner in 1995, and also
has enjoyed the benefit of Dr. Parker’s experience over many
years. He has completed
and directed over 400 studies for private and public entities
including land developers, landowners, residential and commercial
builders, financial institutions, city and state government agencies
and the U.S. Department of the Navy.
Steve’s experience ranges from single and multi-family
residential market studies, large land marketing and development
feasibility analysis, to DRI and HUD application research and
reporting, and financial feasibility analysis, strategic development
and marketing planning. Steve
has specialized in financial feasibility and strategic planning
applications. |
Stephen has written several articles on consumer
research methodology, marketing and sales, advertising and public
relations issues.
Since obtaining his Bachelor in Business
Management from the University of North Florida in 1987, Steve ran
his own professional photography business (from 1988 to 1992)
specializing in real estate photography, complete turnkey
newsletters and related print marketing. Steve produces the Parker Associates newsletter:
Real Estate Innovations.
Steve is a member of the Northeast Florida Builders
Association and the National Association of Home Builders and
currently is working towards completion of his MIRM designation
(Member of the Institute of Residential Marketing) as well as a
licensed Florida Real Estate salesman. He is also a member of
the Northeast Florida Sales and Marketing Council (SMC).
