One thing’s certain about the renewed competition in education tech: Schools can expect better deals from leading providers such as Apple, Google and Microsoft for tablets, laptops and software designed for the classroom. Apple, for instance, recently launched a $299 iPad and a new app for teachers. Google will maintain its lead in education hardware.
